Design For Life is an award winning boutique production and post production studio in Dublin City Centre. We offer a range of services from direction and production to editorial, 2D/3D animation, compositing . visual effects and finishing for commercial, corporate and web clients.

Recently we were commissioned to animate oscar nominated ‘Brown Bag Films’ logo, a commission such as this underlines the quality and sophistication of our approach to animation and motion graphics.

Our areas of expertise include commercials, short documentary, educational film, event and performance filming, corporate communication, retail marketing video, drama, podcasting, DVD production and delivering video to the web.

We have been in existence since 2003 and in that time we have produced a diverse body of work in all these disciplines. We are proud to call many of Ireland's and the worlds leading businesses and organizations both nationally and internationally our clients.

Ten Steps to Success in Life and Business with Batty Ryan- Trailer

Batty Ryan was born in Mucklish on the Louth/Meath border. He grew up on his parent’s dairy farm and ran the farm with his brother Bunty until they fell out over whose turn it was to milk the cows the evening Mucklish Football Seniors won the Gaughan Cup. Things turned sour after that, Batty left the farm and they have never spoken since despite Batty’s efforts to bring in a Buddhist intermediary. Soon after, Batty married Evelyn Dixon whose father, Dixie ran Dixon’s Bar in Yellow Furze. Batty helped run the bar when Dixie suffered a severe stroke. Batty was also a part time sales person for Dixon’s Plant Hire. This gave him valuable experience and inside knowledge in the running of 2 diverse businesses.
Batty and Evelyn had 3 children, Robbie, Niall and Ianna. It was around the time of the birth of Ianna that Batty started managing the band Zoe Ward and Mentals a pop band that took the East coast by storm during the summer of ’92 with their daring stage show and sexy songs including “Dirty Beach” and “Deep Fried (You Got Me)”. Batty was riding high but too many nights on the road took a toll on his marriage. After an unfair divorce settlement which left him penniless he resolved to make it all back. He tried his hand in any job he could get; pilot, pizza chef and team leader in a sales team but none of them gave him the satisfaction that he craved or the money or respect. However after enrolling in a life coach course he realised he had found his vocation in life. Not only could he get on the road like he had with the now defunct Mentals but he could also call on his vast knowledge in the many jobs he’s been employed in to help others be successful in their chosen ambitions. With the positive attitude he had learnt in the life coach course and through his own research he completely turned his life around and now he wants to spread the good news to you.

"Love in the Movies" is the second single to be taken from Fiona Melady's acclaimed debut album "The Fear I Fear" and the first single from Fiona to be distributed by Universal Music Ireland.

Composed, arranged and produced by Fiona, it is an upbeat song with a killer hook. As the title and refrain suggest it is a rose tinted spectacles scenario about perfect love that we are led to expect from watching the classics on the big screen - "Casablanca", "Dangerous Liaisons", "Wuthering Heights", "Gone with the Wind", "Love Story" etc. You probably get the picture!

With a high profile judging panel consisting of leading industry professionals, bands are judged on their live performance abilities in a number of heats in cities and towns such as Dublin, Cork, Waterford, Limerick and Killarney. Murphy’s Live offers the winning band a phenomenal prize worth €10,000 which includes an EP launch with a record label, studio recording time, a national distribution deal, full PR and a six month management deal.

On the night of the finals we caught up the bands and the organizers in The Village and got a behind the scenes glimpse at what it takes to be a finalist in Murphy's Live.

This Video captures Aslan at their best, performing in front of a full house in the Point Theater, Dublin in 2005. Incorporating both live performance and footage from the production rehearsal for their Christmas tour, the energy and enthusiasm of the band is obvious but so to is the camaraderie of a band who enjoy making and playing music together.

Shot over two days this is the Video for the second Single from David Geraghtys debut solo Album "Kill Your Darlings" The multi-instrumentalist released this debut solo album ‘Kill Your Darlings’ on September 7th, 2007. The album debuted in the Irish Top 20, with both single releases ‘Fear The Hitcher’ and ‘Kaleidoscope’ garnering plays aplenty on national and regional airwaves. Music press across the board greeted the album with an overwhelming nod. Having brought the tent down at Electric Picnic, Geraghty completed a sell out Irish tour including a packed-to-the-rafters performance at the newly refurbished Whelan’s venue in Dublin. David has just headlined the 2FM 2Moro 2our playing at ten venues throughout Ireland. David has been nominated in both Best Irish Male and Best Irish Album categories in the Meteor Ireland Music Awards. David has been short listed for the Choice Music award David will begin touring again in early 2008.
